The
Waterless Water Garden
|
|
This
is a modern roof garden designed for a stylish new
building. It is a contemporary dry water garden,
inspired by Japanese Zen gardens that represent
beautiful scenery in conceptual ways. Water is expressed
in the abstract through plants and materials; the focal
point is a river flowing down a mountain valley. The
mesh sculpture signifies a fountain. Half spheres on the
white gravel area represent islands within the water,
formed by upside-down hanging baskets planted with rock
plants. The planting has been designed to draw you into
the garden to enjoy its modern and tranquil design. |
