This garden has been created to celebrate a decade of song by the Chester community choir. Pass through the handbag-styled gate and enter a world of fun, feathers, flowers and flax. The piano strikes a chord and forms, textures and colours in rich variety assail the senses. Mist swirls and water sparkles over silver-toned cobbles. Soft Carex and spiky Phormium begin the programme. A chorus line of pink and white perennials (fluffy Astilbe, majestic Agapanthus and soaring Veronica among other plants) perform against a dramatic backdrop of black Ophiopogon in a living wall. Take a break beneath the dappled shade of Acer negundo 'Flamingo' and feel the rhythm of ten years of song.
