This
is a garden of two sides, designed by young people for young
people. On one side the garden tells a sad story of neglect
and despair, reflecting how weeds, rubbish and dogs can
affect our estates. On the other side, the garden is well
maintained (whilst being low maintenance). The lawn is the
perfect spot to sit and play games during long, hot summers
and there is a cosy corner for relaxing, doing homework or
chilling out with friends in the fresh air. The flower
border, with its bug homes and feeders, is designed to
attract wildlife, and splashes of summer colour mixed with
evergreen phormiums and hebes form a structured planting
scheme designed for year-round interest. The herb pots are
ideal for cooking and pudding can be picked fresh from the
baskets. Great homes, great neighbourhoods, great people and
now great gardens! |
