Bob
Flowerdew is a charismatic and somewhat eccentric
gardener whose passion for 'growing organic' has made him one of the country's leading organic
gardeners. He is a regular panel member of BBC Radio
4’s Gardeners' Question Time.

Bob has nearly an acre
of garden in Dickleburgh, Norfolk, where he lives
with his wife and their twin daughters.
|
| One
example of bob's eccentricity is that his garden is absolutely
covered in used car tyres. He uses recycled tyres
for everything including building water storage tanks, strawberry
planters, growing potatoes and more. |
|
| He's
been gardening on his current plot for more than 16
years and grows organic fruit and vegetables of
almost every variety, including bananas, pineapples
and guavas. He also keeps chickens, ducks, geese and
bees. He set out to prove that all this can be done
single-handedly - and in your spare time - which he
has achieved. |

President of the Norfolk group of the Soil
