Gardeners'
World presenter Sarah Raven is well-known for her
love of growing flowers that can be cut and made
into colourful indoor arrangements. |
| Sarah runs
gardening, cookery and floristry courses from her
90-acre farm in Sussex, where she manages a seed
catalogue and raises organic cows and pigs. She
specialises in teaching people who've never picked
up a spade, let alone pricked out a zinnia! |
| As
well as her home-run courses, she lectures all
around Britain. She also maintains flourishing
flower, vegetable, salad and herb gardens, where she
trials varieties for her seed catalogue which
specialises in unusual varieties. |
|
Cambridge-born
Sarah qualified as a doctor at London University
after graduating from Edinburgh University with a
history degree.

Columnist

|

is also currently working on a cookery book to
accompany the series and her own books have also
made great waves in the green-fingered world.

Sarah
is married to a fellow journalist and writer, Adam
Nicholson, and they have two children who enjoy the
home-grown fare from their garden at Sissinghurst
Castle in Kent.
