Stefan
Buczacki is Britain’s most experienced media gardening
expert and has written more articles, published more gardening
books and presented gardening on radio and television on more
occasions than anyone else in the country. There have been no
more than a handful of weeks in the past twenty years when he
hasn’t been presenting gardening on one or other national
radio or television channel. He was educated at Southampton
and Oxford Universities and achieved an international
reputation in horticultural research. He is a Fellow of the
Institute of Biology, Institute of Horticulture and the
Linnean Society of London, Associate of the Royal Photographic
Society and Honorary Professor of Plant Pathology at Liverpool
John Moores University.

Stefan is
Britain’s second biggest selling (Dr D.G. Hessayon being the
first) gardening author with over forty
books to his credit (almost all translated into several languages)
and has written for most national newspapers and leading magazines.
Among his numerous broadcasting achievements, he devised, wrote and
presented "The Gardening Quiz" for five years on BBC Radio
Four, appeared most famously on "Gardeners’ Question
Time" for a unique unbroken run of over 600 programmes in
twelve years, latterly as Chairman, and presented "Classic
Gardening Forum" for three years on Classic FM. He has appeared
on BBC 1, BBC 2, ITV and Channel 4 in addition to several regional
television channels, for the past four years has presented gardening
on Channel 5’s "Open House" and this summer has been
filming "Stefan’s Ultimate Gardens", his fifth series
for UK Style.

Stefan has
travelled very widely, is in demand as a consultant and expert
witness and he is seldom out of the news - his recent comments about
the decline in professionalism and standards in the gardening media
were covered in depth by every national newspaper and news
programme. He is uniquely respected both by the popular media and
the scientific community.
