What better way to turn your garden into a Mediterranean paradise than to grow citrus trees. Oranges, grapefruits, lemons and limes available in many varieties to suit every taste. Able to grow in the UK with a little help over winter for the less hardy cultivars citrus trees are a great way of inviting something a little different into your garden. With amazing bursts of colour to brighten up any patio, an array of flowers and delicious home-grown citrus fruits these trees are simply fabulous.

Hardy to -10C!

Transform your patio into a little piece of the Mediterranean with this scent-sational citrus tree. Our lemon trees have glossy, dark green foliage and tiny white flowers that fill the air with the delicious fragrance of citrus blossom throughout the year, followed by fruit from late Spring to late Summer. This is an excellent variety producing large, thick skinned fruits equal in quality to those purchased from a supermarket, ideal for adding to a gin and tonic. Plants have large glossy leaves and excellent cold tolerance, making it the perfect container plant. T&M have carefully chosen a variety which is hardy and capable of surviving temperatures as low as -10C!Propagated onto 'PS' rootstock and supplied as a large specimen bush (often in fruit) in a 5 litre pot.

Tangerine 'Tuscan Tangerine'

Orange - mini

Fabulous, fragrant white flowers are produced singly on branches throughout the summer. These are followed by medium-sized, thin-skinned, juicy tangerines that separate easily into segments. A great plant for growing in a pot on a sunny patio, but it will need to be moved in to a frost-free place in winter.

Tahiti Lime

Citrus x latifolia (Persian Lime, Bearss Lime, Patio fruit tree)

Fantastic value! Not only does this lime tree produce stunning bright green, juicy limes, it also makes a truly attractive feature plant with its lush, aromatic leaves and beautifully fragrant blossom. Lime of Tahiti originates from the Mediterranean and is hardier than other limes making it ideal for growing in the UK in containers on the patio as well as in a conservatory. The lovely seedless limes are produced in abundance and if left on the tree will eventually turn yellow.

Orange 'Bigaradier'

Imagine growing your own oranges at home! These attractive bushy trees are perfect for growing in patio containers or in the conservatory. The pretty white flowers of Orange Bigaradierare followed by lovely bright orange fruits similar to the Seville orange and are just as ideal for making delicious marmalade.

Tangerine

very easy to grow and thrives in a variety of soils and growing conditions. It is drought tolerant, but should be kept well fed and watered during the summer to ensure a good crop of fruit. The trees are largely pest and disease resistant. Semi-hardy, this plant is used to warmer climes and the evergreen foliage should be provided with extra winter protection if being grown outdoors in the UK. Either cover the plant with horticultural fleece, plant cosies or a similar product, or alternatively bring the plant indoors and overwinter in a warm conservatory.

Grapefruit

This grapefruit tree is very easy to grow, for best results grow in a fertile, well drained, slightly acidic soil in a sunny location where the tree is sheltered from strong winds. The tree is drought tolerant, but should be kept well fed and watered during the summer to ensure a good crop of fruit. Largely pest and disease resistant, this variety is not fully UK winter hardy so should be provided with extra winter protection or better still brought indoors if temperatures drop below freezing point.

Winter Citrus Feed

A balanced formula for natural sustained winter activity including fruit ripening. Also helps to prevent leaf fall and leaf discolouration. Feed the tree regularly through the winter with sufficient solution to moisten the compost, but don't over water. Roots will be kept more active if a water temperature of 20°C is used. Contains: NPK - 18-18-18. When the clocks change to British summer time, change to 'Summer Food for Citrus' below.

Summer Citrus Feed

A high nitrogen formula to boost bushiness and growth. It helps to prevent fruit drop and premature ripening of immature fruits. Also helps to prevent leaf discolouration. Apply every seven days during the summer and water regularly between feeds to prevent the compost from drying out. Contains: NPK - 24-14-14. When the clocks change in autumn, change to 'Winter Food for Citrus' above.

J. Arthur Bowers Citrus Compost

Reduced peat, free-draining compost which has the correct pH balance for citrus plants.

Recommended Uses: Potting and re-potting of oranges, lemons and other citrus fruit plants.

Citrus Fruit Bowl

This pot looks like a traditional terracotta pot, but in fact it is made of fibreglass and resin the finishes are so authentic it is hard to tell them apart from the real thing. It is a wonderfully versatile material which is light-weight, low maintenance and most of all frost-proof. They are ideal for use indoors as they are outdoors, they are supplied without drainage holes although if required they can be pre drilled by us.
