The Mod-ieval Garden
The Mod-ieval Garden
Designer Sam Youd (Garden Manager, Tatton Park) Sponsors Cheshire Brick & Slate, Brentwood Moss Nursery

Inspiration for this garden has been drawn from the Old Hall at Tatton Park, built in the late medieval period and once the heart of the estate. The garden could fit into an ancient or a modern setting, hence its title Mod-ieval (or Modern-Medieval). The plants used have been chosen for their colour or scent rather than for their medieval origins and include a selection of herbs and vegetables. Medieval characters are making appearances at the garden at various times throughout the show.
